 \n\n\n\nIn May 2017 it was announced that BSI Learning had won the contrac
 t as the main education provider in NSW prisons. This saw trainers with a 
 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (the minimum qualification for a
 n individual to deliver training and assessment services in the vocational
  education and training (VET) sector)\, replacing the senoir education off
 icers who held university degrees.\n\nMoreover\, priority has been given t
 o LLN programs at the expense of arts and music classes\, which are not on
 ly therapeutic but also provide a gateway to general education. \n\nThere
  has been considerable debate around whether private education providers a
 re less likely to deliver quality and tailored eduation to prisoners due t
 o the profit-oriented considerations that drive private decision-making. 
 \n\nThe forum will examine the effects of changes and to evaluate the qual
