The National Children’s Commissioner told the Youth Justice Senate Inquiry, “The most chilling thing was when the kids had no hope… no hope but moving to an adult jail.”

Youth detainees requested to transform prison TV screens into interactive devices so that their voices can be heard. The 85% recidivism rate and $1 million a year cost per youth requires change.

Computers in cells would provide access to external counselling, education, art and music while they are alone and bored in their cells. Let decision makers spend 24 hours in a cell and experience the issue!
